The American remake of popular Japanese Manga Ghost In The Shell has already created quite a ruckus amongst fans, who have expressed outrage in the decision to cast an American actress as the role of Motoko Kusanagi, the Japanese Special Ops Cyborg Squad Leader.
Ghost In The Shell tells the story of Kusanagi and her intelligence agency, named Section 9, who attempt to stop a cyber criminal who will stop at nothing to sabotage Hanka Robotic’s Artificial Intelligence technology.
Paramount have now released a first glimpse into the Action Crime Drama, in the form of a first image, containing Scarlett Johansson as the Cyborg Major. You can see the image below.
Ghost In The Shell has begun shooting in New Zealand, and is set for a March 2017 release.
