Fear not, though Batman v Superman may be getting shot down by critics, they’re bound to love the dark knight’s Lego incarnation. A couple of days ago, Warner Bros. shared their first images of the first The Lego Movie spin-off and now they’re sharing the first teaser.
Stepping into the shoes inhabited by men like Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck and, dare I say it, George Clooney is Will Arnett. Arnett is reprising the role he started in The Lego Movie, as the self-obsessed Batman who sings sad songs about darkness and orphans.
The Lego Batman Movie will explore its subject beyond his crime-fighting hours, learning who the real Bruce Wayne is. That may sound like the premise for a dodgy Oprah Winfrey interview, but it promises to be a barrel of laughs and heaps of fun. Just check out the red silk kimonos.
We are not shown a huge amount here in terms of plot or characters, but it serves as a good re-introduction to a character everyone grew to love. More than George Clooney anyway. The Lego Batman Movie shall be released February 10, 2017 and stars Will Arnett, Ralph Fiennes and Zach Galifianakis. Check out the teaser below.
