Hulu has released the first trailer for its upcoming original series, The Looming Tower. Based on the best-selling book by Lawrence Wright, the story tracks the rise of Al-Qaeda and the intelligence failures within the U.S. that led to 9/11.
While the book is a thorough, all-encompassing dive into Osama Bin Laden and his #2 who’s still at large, Ayman al-Zawahiri, as well as a very in-depth look at U.S. politics, it looks as though the series will be heavily U.S.-based, and looks to follow the rivalry between the FBI and CIA that inadvertently led to the attacks on the World Trade Center.

The trailer above looks like a riveting watch, even if it might cover some ground that’s been explored before. Hulu has certainly pulled out all the stops for the series, as the show will star Jeff Daniels, Alec Baldwin, Peter Sarsgaard, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Tahir Rahim.
While The Looming Tower might not quite give us the full picture that Wright’s book does, it will likely be an engrossing watch that needs to be talked about. Hulu will be hoping for just that when the series premieres on Wednesday, February 28.
