First Trailer For ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows’ Is Surprisingly Good | Film Trailer

Contrary to the opinions of the rest of the world, I was actually rather fond of 2014’s rebooted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – in so much that it was a kids movie, made for today’s kids to enjoy. This colorful debut trailer for its sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows (directed by Dave Green, Earth To Echo) seems to be offering more of the same, but with a lot more new characters added that older fans of the ’80s cartoon and comic strips will recognize.

The trailer gives us a good look at the return of the turtles, Splinter, April O’Neil (obligatory Megan Fox boob shot included), Vernon Fenwick, and Shredder (this time played by Brian Tee), but also newcomers Bebop & Rocksteady (Gary Anthony Williams and Sheamus), Casey Jones (Stephen Amell), Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry), and also Oscar-nominee Laura Linney in a yet unnamed role.

That’s a whole lot of characters, and with a glimpse at what may possibly be Dimension X, there could yet be more (I’m looking at you Krang). Hopefully things won’t feel too bloated when Out Of The Shadows hits screens on June 3, 2016.
