On October 19, Floating Points a.k.a London based producer Sam Shepherd, shared the track “Peroration Six” which is taken off his forthcoming debut album, Elaenia. Elaenia is due for release on November 6 through Pluto (UK). “Peroration Six” follows on from the release of “Silhouettes (I, II & III)” and “Nespole” and continues the dark and moody jazz sound laid out by those two cuts.
On the basis of the singles that Shepherd has released so far, the new album sounds like it will be an astonishing listen featuring some dramatic, breathtaking moments and excellent standards of production. The release is made all the more amazing due to the fact that it was crafted whilst Shepherd was studying for a PhD at the prestigious UCL.
