Florence + The Machine have refused to move one of their shows to accommodate for the Davis Cup. The band are playing at Manchester Arena on September 18 and have had requests from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to move their show so the Great British semi-final against Australia can be held there. The chief executive for LTA Michael Downey was unable to convince Florence + The Machine to move, so the Great Britain Davis Cup tennis tie will now be hosted in Glasgow as a result. Florence + The Machine are to play at various arena venues on their How Big tour in September including four nights London’s Alexandra Palace as well as dates in Newcastle, Nottingham and Dublin among others.
