Florida-based artist Joe Nester has dropped a heartfelt new single, “I’ll Wait For You“, heightening the excitement for his upcoming second independent album, Convict, set for release this summer.
“I’ll Wait For You” is a deeply emotional and personal song about placing trust in God and practicing patience as we anticipate His plans for us. Nester was inspired to write the song while on his honeymoon with his wife.
As he sat on the back porch of their cabin in the North Carolina mountains, Nester reminisced about a time when he was homeless and struggling with drug addiction. He remembered feeling like he would never be able to maintain sobriety, let alone marry and travel the country, playing music for millions.
This beautiful track pays tribute to God’s faithfulness in keeping His promises when we choose to trust and wait on Him. Nester’s unique and passionate voice instantly captivates listeners.
Hailing from Deland, Florida, inspirational singer-songwriter Joe Nester turned his life around after battling addiction. In December 2012, he boarded a train to South Florida with little more than the clothes on his back, seeking a fresh start. After receiving treatment for drug addiction, he discovered music as a therapeutic outlet and began writing songs.
