Experimental electronic music DJ and producer Flying Lotus has surprised his fans dropping seven new tracks on Soundcloud today. Getting deeper and deeper into film industry for the past decade, which includes his own directorial debut on Kuso last year, FlyLo’s new music is also written for films.
Six out of seven tracks are mostly instrumental cuts, created for 2017 short anime film Blade Runner Black Out 2022, one of the three Blade Runner 2049 prequels – directed by Shinichiro Watanabe. And there’s also a string-heavy song, called “Choo Choo” – an outtake from the forthcoming Eddie Alcazar thriller Perfect. Some of the new tracks were written alongside multi-instrumentalist Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.
