Focus Features has just delivered the first trailer for the upcoming movie entitled Thoroughbreds.
In the trailer, we can see the last interpretation of 27 year-old actor Anton Yelchin, known for his role as Chekov in Star Trek, after his tragic death due to a car accident. In Thoroughbreds, he plays Tim, a small local dealer who is hired from two Connecticut rich girls, Lily and Amanda, to kill the stepfather of one of them.
The plot is about the friendship between the best friends, Lily (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Amanda (Olivia Cooke) who after years of distance finally draw closer. Lily has become a teenager who attends the high society, the exclusive schools and who did an important stage, while Amanda is a girl with an acute intelligence and an unique personalty but that involves her to be excluded socially.
This drama-thriller is the directorial debut of Cory Finley and it has been very much appreciated during its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival last January. It has also been placed in competition in the Fantastic Fest and London Film Festival.
Thoroughbreds is scheduled to be released on March 9, 2018. Watch the trailer here below:
