After frontman Dave Grohl broke his leg onstage in Sweden a few weeks ago, Foo Fighters were forced to pull out of their much anticipated headline slot at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Reports are now saying that they have already been booked to play the coveted slot next year. Festival organiser Emily Eavis has also confirmed the three main headliners for next year have already been booked.
After being replaced by previous support Florence and the Machine, Dave Grohl has also recently spoken out in favour of Saturday night headliner Kanye West. Following a huge amount of controversy over West’s slot, a petition to remove him from the festival was launched which has gained over 134,000 signatures. However Grohl said “I don’t know who the dude is that started the petition but I think every one of those votes is only fuelling Kanye’s f*****g fire and it could be the greatest show of all time“.
