How badly do you want to meet your favourite musician? You’d probably be willing to pay for the opportunity, but someone has gone a step further by offering to buy Foo Fighters front-man Dave Grohl.
What started off as a joke has received lots of coverage, and Frank Pain has so far raised $1,119 out of $35,000. The campaign, entitled Help Me Purchase Dave Grohl, contains a humourous description (“I’m his biggest fan and figured I can round up enough scratch to purchase him so we can hang out and high five and s**t. Heck, I may give him a bro-hug or two as well” being just one part) followed by a sincere update that proceeds will go to the Autism Speaks charity.
Maybe Grohl will see, maybe not, but the singer is familar with responding to fan requests and inviting them to hang out, for free. Maybe Pain is onto something here.
