Frank Ocean’s Blonde just reached number one on the Billboard 200 album chart, which is an astounding feat for the singer. Unfortunately, news of Endless (his visual album) not being able to chart too has been revealed. Due to the inability to purchase the album or any of the songs individually, it is technically not able to be on the Top 200 Album chart, or the Music Video Sales Chart.
It’s worth noting one of the closest comparisons in Beyoncé’s Lemonade was able to chart due to its availability, which caused Billboard and Nielsen to give the following statement:
“As the concept of the album continues to evolve, Billboard and Nielsen Music, in consultation with the industry, will continue to consider evolving chart policies to accommodate for the consumption of forward-thinking projects like Endless”.
