This Friday, February 17, the intimate new album Is It You? from acclaimed French musician Ben L’Oncle Soul was made available on all streaming platforms.
The songs were written and composed by Ben L’Oncle Soul in collaboration with Gunnar Ellwanger, and the album was engineered by Grammy Award-winning producer Scott Jacoby (Janelle Monáe, Coldplay, Vampire Weekend).
The new album Is It You? is highlighted by the singles “A Rose“, “Sky Has Open Doors“, and “Levitate“, which have received positive reviews from both critics and fans.
The French soul singer, who has five critically acclaimed albums and more than 200 million streams, is multi-platinum in his native France, where he has also won a Crystal Globe for ‘Best Male Vocalist’ and a Victoire de la Musique for ‘Live Breakthrough’.
While travelling the world, Ben L’Oncle Soul has also found success abroad in a bunch of countries, including the North Sea Jazz Festival and the Montreal International Jazz Festival, to mention just a few.
Is It You? is the French soul singer’s most intimate record yet. The 9-track project offers us the greatest in R&B, jazz, and soul music, while feeling authentic, acoustic, and spontaneous.
Is It You? investigates the connection between life and spirituality and is motivated not by a search for solutions but rather by a desire to reexamine the wonder of that life that connects us.
