Frightened Rabbit have unveiled “Get Out”, a new track and video from their forthcoming album. It is the second track to be taken from Painting Of A Panic Attack, the Scottish group’s new album, due Friday, April 8 via Atlantic Records. “Get Out” comes produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner, and is a curious mix of drum machines and live instrumentation. The hook jumps at you, striking and passionate. Simple but incendiary lead lines portray the full gamut of emotions.
The visuals convey the music powerfully and accurately, at least as far as these rather subjective things go. Basically, two young girls romantic involvement with eachother is conveyed in choreography. Clinching together and pushing away to convey the passion of love, which so often can turn to hate, and exploring that fine line between the two.
