Fans of Donald Glover will definitely read this today with a smile on their face. Following on, so conveniently from last night’s Golden Globes, The first trailer for the second season of Atlanta has arrived. After reported delays, FX announce that their award-winning TV series will be returning to our screens March 1 and it is exactly what we’ve been waiting for.
Atlanta burst onto the television scene in 2016, captivating audiences as an almost “rags to riches” story following Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles (Brian Tyree Henry) alongside his cousin and manager Earnest “Earn” Marks (Donald Glover) navigating through the Atlanta rap scene in an effort to improve their own and their families’ lives.
The trailer features the pair and Alfred’s right-hand man, Darius (Lakeith Stanfield) in different scenes, from talking in a restaurant booth to chilling in a strip club, suggesting that their adventures this season may be just as wild as before, possibly even more wild.
