The full trailer of the latest American Horror Story season is here!

Ryan Murphy, its director had already shared a teaser video on his Instagram confirming that the new season pays homage to 80’s, but now we know that its homage is more precisely to 80’s horror movies like the Halloween and Friday The 13th franchises.

American Horror Story has been going steady since 2011, and the ninth season of this anthology horror series is aptly titled 1984.

The full trailer set out the show’s story. It brings us to “the site of the worst summer massacre of all time,” where a group of friends find that their plans for “a nonstop party” lead to more of a nonstop nightmare according to FX.

In the trailer we discover Mr Jingles, a cutthroat killer who’s escaped from a nearby asylum and Emma Roberts as a kind girl going to a summer camp. All of this with 80’s fashion-vibes.

Of course, as Murphy tends to use, a lot of core actors are present. Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Cody Fern, Matthew Morrison, Angelica Ross, Gus Kenworthy, DeRon Horton, Zach Villa and John Carroll Lynch are all featured, but unfortunately, for the first time Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are missing.

American Horror Story: 1984 premieres on Wednesday, September 18 at 10pm on FX. In the meantime, watch the trailer below.
