Fyfe – Solace | Music Video
The new video for Fyfe’s “Solace” is neat and compelling. It’s clarity and simplicity mirrors the track itself, which has one of the most memorable choruses I’ve heard in some time. The effectiveness of the video lies in the metaphor of paint. Sounds bonkers doesn’t it? It works brilliantly. If I’m on the money here, I think the video has been designed to capture past situations the singer is trying to emerge out of. Thus, when you see the sections when he’s half painted, half not, it tracks the gradual shift to achieving “Solace”. The video also has a Sinead O’Connor feel about it, view it here.
