Game of Thrones star Masie Williams is set to make an appearance in another smash-hit TV series, as the young actress has been confirmed to guest star in the up and coming series of Doctor Who. The long running show took to their Twitter account to confirm the news, with Williams to star in a unspecified role. Williams has already proven to be such a brilliant young talent so it will be interesting to see her in the sci-fi series! The new series of Doctor Who is returning to the BBC this Autumn.
The seventeen year old star, who plays Arya Stark in the HBO series, had this to say about the news; “I’m so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British culture. I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town“. Doctor Who executive producer Stephen Moffat, seems delighted by the news also, adding; “We’re thrilled to have Maisie Williams joining us on Doctor Who. It’s not possible to say too much about who or what she’s playing, but she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways. This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell”.
