Gothenburg based Lillvi has just released a new single “Down With You” with a texture of 1990’s pop rhythms and getting the attention it deserves.
Lillvi was born outside of Gothenburg with a passion for singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments. She wishes to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Max Martin, Avicii, and Tove Lo.
Her goal is to create music that is accessible to all listeners while taking cues from international icons like Lady Gaga, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, and Cindi Lauper, renowned for their outspoken support of the LGBTQ community.
Lillvi transports us to the energetic synth-pop sounds of the 1990s, taking the listener on a whole musical journey. “Down With You”, with its atmospheric elements that engulf us and a pounding, distinctive bass, popularises appealing 80s drum rhythms that singers like The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and Dua Lipa have recently absorbed.
Lillvi’s most recent release, which showcases her versatility across genres, combines the scent of an elusive nightclub with a current perspective on modern pop and is nothing short of a musical sensory experience.
She has worked with her longtime producer on this tune, and it awakens the listener’s senses and transports them on a blissful journey. The negative effects of the desire can always catch up with anyone, even though the music might turn into an endless pursuit of solitude and effort.
As she explains, “suffering from ongoing anxiety and insomnia during the creation process really tested my abilities to the fullest”.
