Jason Momoa‘s Aquaman is set to appear in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice due for release March 25 2016. DC’s Aquaman will then be featuring in his own movie due summer 2018. Little is known about the King of Atlantis’ stand alone film. Rumours have now surfaced that suggest Aquaman will be squaring off against his own half-brother, Ocean Master, Orm Curry. Officially the screenplay is still very much a work in progress. James Wan will be directing fresh from the success of Fast & Furious 7 and The Conjuring.
Producer Charles Roven revealed: “We’re very early days. We’re just starting with the screenplay. He’s [James Wan] making The Conjuring 2 now, so he’s had his hand in the creation….but he’s directing that film [and] he’s got his hand ever so slightly in the development, but he’s really gonna throw himself into it after he finishes shooting Conjuring 2. He is a serious Aquaman fan”.
For now we wait for a glimpse of Aquaman in the big showdown, Batman v Superman.
