The casting for Supergirl is fully underway with the addition of two new actors who will no doubt look familiar to those die hard Superman/Supergirl fans. TV Line confirms that Helen Slater and Dean Cain will be joining the team for the up and coming CBS show.
Slater previously appeared in the 1984 Supergirl feature film as Kara Zor-El, while Dean Cain is non other than former Superman himself for the TV series, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Both actors have also appeared in the television show, Smallville, which focused on a younger, teenage Superman. While there are no confirmed details about the character or plot for these two, nonetheless, fans are pretty pleased. Also starring Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockheart and David Harewood, Supergirl comes to CBS later this year.
