Henry Lloyd-Hughes And Thalissa Teixeira Join Crime Drama Series ‘Ragdoll’ | TV News

Two more characters should see the light in the AMC crime drama series Ragdoll, with Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Thalissa Teixeira joining the cast to play detectives, who with the help of their team, try to find a serial killer and protect future victims.

The series centres around the murder of six people, whose bodies have been dismembered and sewn into the shape of one grotesque body, with three detectives, DS Rose played by Lloyd-Hughes, DI Baxter by Teixeira, and DC Edmunds played by Lucy Hale, being assigned to this new case nicknamed ‘The Ragdoll’. The ‘Ragdoll Killer’ further challenges the police by sending them a list of his next victims, with Rose’s name at the very end.

With these victims to protect, our detectives will have to face intense public visibility because of the killer’s actions. This seems to be an imaginative serial killer thriller, which also captures the fascinating but flawed relationship between the detectives struggling with the consequences of institutionalization and trauma.

Thalissa Teixeira is known for her roles in shows like Two Weeks, Trigonometry, and The Musketeers.

On the other hand, Lloyd-Hughes can currently be seen as Sherlock Holmes in the Netflix series The Irregulars but he also played in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. Lucy Hale is also part of the cast as the third detective announced.

Dan McDermott, from the AMC Networks and AMC Studios, explained how the cast is going to be perfect for these series:

We’re thrilled to have Lucy, Thalissa and Henry on board as three ideal leads to bring Ragdoll to life. We’re excited to begin filming with our partners at Sid Gentle Films and to watch these three talented actors play off each other through these darkly intriguing and intricately drawn characters“.

The series, which will have six episodes, will soon start production and filming in London. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Daniel Cole and is described as a modern-day Faustian thriller. Ragdoll will be directed by Toby MacDonald and Niall MacCormick.
