The creators of Hey Arnold! have hit us right in the nostalgia today, for the classic 90’s cartoon is returning in not one, but two TV movies. Airing from 1994 to 2004, the animated series followed football-headed Arnold (last voiced by Alex D. Linz) and his neighborhood friends – group leader Gerald (Jamil Walker Smith) and secret admirer Helga (Francesca Smith) throughout their many adventures in fictional city Hillwood.
The news was confirmed by show broadcaster Nikelodeon via Twitter, where they announced “It’s official, Hey Arnold! is coming back in not one, but TWO TV Movies”! They also revealed that the show’s original creator Craig Bartlett will be actively involved in the new films; who evolved the characters from people he grew up with in Portland, Oregon. See the tweets below that feature Bartlett’s artwork.
