Visible in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie and posters, is Suicide Squad member Harley Quinn’s famous weapon: her bat. The bat, inscribed in large red letters with the phrase “Good Night”, has managed to find a new owner.
Rather ironically however, with another girl named Harley Quinn – Kevin Smith’s daughter Harley Quinn Smith. Smith acquired the famous prop for his daughter as a thank you present for hosting the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice special for the CW Television Network from Warner Brothers Entertainment.
Smith explains the story in a recent Facebook post, in which he describes the moment he gave the totem to his daughter: “She opened the tube to discover the bat and immediately started bawling. Harley cried tears of joy for the next 2 hours. Like her old man, the kid goes to pieces over this comic book stuff. It’s not just in her name, its in her DNA”.
Harley Quinn Smith then took to her Instagram to express her gratitude for the new prop, posting a picture of her self with the bat and including a heartfelt caption.
Both Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Depp will be starring in Kevin Smiths upcoming new film Yoga Hosers, out later this year.
