Considering Hugh Jackman will be leaving his sideburns and adamantium claws behind; it’s clear he wants to leave the X-Men franchise with a bang, for the iconic mutant has explained why the script for Wolverine 3 has taken so long – he wants it to be “perfect”.
Speaking to Collider, Jackman revealed that no official filming date has been confirmed yet because he wants his farewell to be spot on: “My thing, and I’ve told you and I’ve told everyone, it’s my last one, for me I want it to be perfect, so the moment I know it’s perfect, bang, we’ll go”.
However, he did confirm that the movie’s script is almost complete: “We have a script,” he said. “A full script. To tell you, two days ago I got… the full finished – well, it’s not finished, but we’re getting super close – as you can see by the rate of my facial hair”.
He summed up his interview by giving us a simple, but helpful clue with regards to the filming date – “it’s sooner rather than later”. Although information is currently limited about the movie, it has been confirmed that Patrick Stewart will be reprising his role as Professor X; which will create a focus on the pair’s father/son relationship.
