From near obscurity, HUME emerges into the creative soundscape as a stark, talented singer/songwriter, with his sensational debut release “Real Close”.
“Real Close” is one that will serve as a defining track for the upcoming artist. The soft keys and percussion contrasted with the gravel vocals creates an ethereal electronic R&B atmosphere that evokes warmth and comfort. There are very few comparable examples to HUME – maybe Honne or Aquilo – and that will work in his favour as he defines his artistry by his own terms.
Speaking on the track, HUME states: “The final lyric sums up my mindset; not being able to fully address what I’m wanting to say when I’m infatuated by someone – all those confused, conflicting feelings and not being able to truly tell if it will be something short- lived, or something a little longer.”
