Ice Cube and Common have grown up, and as grown ups, they’ve realized that bickering is for little schoolgirls vying for the affections of the playground stud, so they’ve put their infamous beef – which sparked some of the finest diss tracks in hip hop history – aside once and for all and their reconciliation has taken the shape of the funky “Real People”.
The cut will be on the soundtrack for the upcoming third Barbershop film Barbershop: The Next Cut, and while the two still have their slight differences, “I say Mike Cube say Kobe” mentions Common, on the whole, in Cube’s words, the two are like monks towards each other now, they just “got love and respect”.
