Following their successful breakthrough with debut album Night Visions, Las Vegas-based band Imagine Dragons are shouting out their yet-to-be-named upcoming album with its first single “I Bet My Life”. Their first album was a top three LP on the charts and the ninth most sold album around the world with over 2 million copies in 2013. Although the new track lacks the fuel of their debut, it has a powerful percussion and roaring southern rhythms.
Frontman Dan Reynolds commented on the song, saying, “this song is about the relationship I’ve had with my parents throughout the years. At times it’s been strained and difficult, but in the end, ‘I Bet My Life’ celebrates the bond that we still hold on to”.
