Irish indie rock band Kodaline are back with their brand new single “Sometimes” as the four-piece group, comprising of Stephen Garrigan, Mark Prendergast, Vinny May Jr and Jason Boland, gets ready to drop their fourth album later this year.
Kodaline have stood out of the wide indie rock music scape since their debut single “High Hopes”, included in their successful first studio album In A Perfect World, broke through Irish and UK charts when it was released in 2013.
Since then, Kodaline have been touring all over the world, from their native Dublin to India, Vietnam, China and Japan. They have been constantly developing their live performances, which reached their peak last year when the band played in front of 60,000 people at the Electric Picnic Festival and performed a packed show at London’s iconic venue Roundhouse.
Their career is still growing, as their recent single “Wherever You Are” has quickly received over 6 million streams on Spotify and their latest release “Sometimes” has the right joyful vibes to grab the attention of fans and critics.
“Sometimes” features engaging folk beats mixed with inspiring lyrics about anxiety and the efforts needed to cope with it. About their new single, Kodaline’s frontman Steve Garrigan explained: “For me, it’s a song about accepting the bad days and trying to stay positive”.
If you happen to wander around Dublin in the next months, check out Kodaline’s show dates at the Olympia Theatre since they tickets are quickly going sold out. Meanwhile, make sure you take a look at this relatable track’s lyric video, as it is surely true that “maybe we all get lost sometimes”.
