Stephen King’s recent tweet regarding It: Chapter 2 has us quaking in our boots as we recall IT: Chapter 1 which starred Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise, Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh and Chosen Jacobs as Mike Hanlon, to name a few.
The films, originally adapted as a two part TV mini-series starring Tim Curry and Seth Green, are adaptations of King’s horror novel IT, yep, the one that made everyone afraid of balloons and drains…
The first part of the franchise depicts a young group of misfits, aka The Losers’ Club, one of whom’s brother is lured in and killed by Pennywise the Clown with the famous phrase “Hiya Georgie”. The menacing character is a disturbing reminder for children to be weary of/ not talk to strangers.
The second part of the franchise will portray the same children as grown adults as they come together to defeat Pennywise once and for all. Though we have little information on the second part of the Andrés Muschietti film, it is set to release on 6 September 2019, and regarding King’s tweet, a trailer could be coming very soon.
IT CHAPTER 2 is coming.
