J. Cole – G.O.M.D. | Music Video

J. Cole has always put a lot of energy and dedication into his music videos. It’s an element of music that the rapper takes very seriously. In his latest, for the bumping “G.O.M.D”, the North Carolina emcee finds himself awkwardly positioned between the white owners of a plantation and the black people that work on it. It’s symbolic of how Cole’s felt his entire life being the son of a mixed race couple; slightly out of place, dealing with the struggle of a constant emotional tug-of-war of which side he identifies most with. But life’s all about choices, and he boldly makes one in the video, and becomes a saviour. You can grab J. Cole’s new album 2014 Forest Hills Drive here. Watch the video for “G.O.M.D.” below.
