After dropping his sensational debut album Village in November, rising singer-songwriter Jacob Banks has released a brand new version of one of the albums standouts – his track “Love Ain’t Enough”, featuring the efforts of grime rapper Ghetts.
The original effort was iconic in itself, the hard-hitting bass, the rumbling and shaking of the percussion almost like a call to marching orders. Jacob’s graphic interpretation of love, matched with the sort of production that sends chills down your spine is definitely where Jacob is in his element. Not to mention Ghetts slips in at the breakdown to elevate the track and leave us wanting more.
Of the collaboration, Jacob said: “I grew up being a super fan of Ghetts, from ‘Top 3 Selected’ to Ghetto Gospel. He’s a living pioneer and legend on the UK scene and so i’m humbled to have his blessing on this joint”.
Inspired by the proverb “it takes a village”, the album explores human themes and experiences, both good and bad, that universally shape our lives. Jacob Banks has and consistently captivating audiences around the globe both on the stage and on his records.
