This new cut is a far cry from her previous single. While “Down” is more tropical and leans more on Afro-swing tendencies, Dolapo’s “Skin” is a dark, minimal banger that oozes in synth-bass, finesse and overall technical ability with brilliant R&B vocals. Dolapo diversifying her sound and her ability to adapt is sure to continue to generate intrigue around the rising young star.
Earning her stripes through features on the likes of Tion Wayne’s “Home” and singing backing and co-writing with some of the most relevant new artists in the scene right now like MoStack, ZieZie, Hardy Caprio and Young T & Bugsey, Dolapo is entering into her own element and seizing the prime contender position.
