The star of the Netflix movie The Kissing Booth and the HBO TV series Euphoria, Jacob Elordi, is to play the lead role in the upcoming thriller Parallel.
The film, directed by Tom Green – director of the BAFTA award-winning Misfit – is described as an action thriller combining science fiction and romance. The script, written by BAFTA nominee Steve Lightfoot, is set in a world where parallel versions of our world are accessible but it is illegal to visit them.
While waiting to know more about this new project, whose release date is not yet known, Jacob Elordi will be in the third part of The Kissing Booth on August 11 on Netflix. As a reminder, he plays the role of Noah Flynn alongside the heroine played by Joey King. He will also reprise his role as Nate Jacobs in season two of Euphoria on HBO.
Lightfoot is the showrunner of the Apple adaptation of Gregory David Roberts‘ Shantaram, which features actors such as Charlie Hunnam. He also created the highly successful Netflix series Behind Her Eyes. He was also the showrunner of the Marvel series The Punisher.
With all of this on display, Parallel is shaping up to be a big hit.
