It seems that James Gunn’s Spidey senses are tingling, for the Guardians of the Galaxy director has confirmed he’s watched Marvel’s upcoming Captain America: Civil War and has developed a fondness for Tom Holland’s role as Spider Man, calling the actor’s performance “off the charts” amazing. He shared his news via Facebook, and insisted that fans are in for a treat when they see Holland in the film:
“Tom Holland is… off-the-charts awesome. Off. The. Charts. Awesome. Off the charts. Truly. Hand to my heart, he’s amazing”. With regards to the movie as a whole, Gunn conjured up even more praise, adding: “It’s one of the best Marvel movies ever, and I can’t believe what a wonderful job directors Joe and Anthony Russo did. It’s an amazing film, and people are going to be really excited to see that come summertime”.
With none of the previous teasers providing an insight to Holland’s role as Spider Man, it seems fans will simply have to wait until the movie’s debut on May 6, 2016. In the mean time, stay tuned for more news and catch the trailer below:
