Arrested Development Season 5 is to start shooting soon, it was revealed in a tweet by Bluth family member Jason Bateman, “the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together“.
Bateman shared a photo from the set, showing Lucille’s famous apartment in preparation for shooting, plastic wrap still on the sofas and the place, for now, intact. It promises plenty of family meetings and hopes are high for a resurrection of the chicken dance.

The actor also revealed in the tweet that filming will begin on August 8, so the anticipation of the return of the dysfunctional family only grows. The upcoming season is expected to be a murder-mystery revolving around the disappearance of Lucille Austero (Liza Minelli) in Netflix’s Season 4.
The fifth season will be delivered despite the show’s initial cancellation after three seasons. Creators made a huge mistake with season 4 (2013), straying from the show’s usual format and separating the characters. Now, another five years later, producers are hoping to rectify their mistakes and appease fans who have remained committed to the Bluth storyline.
Arrested Development Season 5 will be released sometime in 2018.
