Warner Brothers have a new LEGO movie in the mix with How I Met Your Mother star Jason Segel and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation writer Drew Pearce on board to write and co-direct! Coming in LEGO form, we’re already expecting The LEGO Movie 2, Ninjago and The LEGO Batman Movie and now the boys will be bringing The Billion Brick Race to the line up!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The LEGO Movie’s Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Dan Lin and Roy Lee will be producing the movie and despite not having any confirmed details on plot or release date; the project sounds like a promising treat. This will be Segel’s directorial debut and Pearce’s biggest feature. They’re both really talented writers so it will be interesting to see how they perform behind the camera. There’s lots of room in the LEGO world for a spin-off so there’s no reason that, with a great movie, this couldn’t spark a franchise for itself.
