Iconic Hollywood leading ladies Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts have just recently committed to starring in a new Gary Marshall romantic comedy called Mother’s Day which is scheduled to be released domestically in the U.S by April 29, 2016. Mother’s Day will be distributed by Open Road films and will involve a well established supporting cast such as Kate Hudson, Hillary Duff, Jon Lovitz and Jack Whitehall. Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts have never appeared in the same film alongside each other until now with Roberts set to reunite as a core Gary Marshall collaborator.
Roberts and director Marshall have previously collaborated on successful films in the past such as Pretty Women and Runaway Bride. Gary Marshall is hoping that Mother’s Day will be a box office success as well as a instant classic but only time will tell whether his new film carries the same weight as Pretty Women did more than 20 years ago.
