“Strange that BBC News is talking down the last Top Gear tonight. Do they not want big ratings for some reason?“, said Jeremy Clarkson before the final live Top Gear episode was aired on Sunday. It went out with a sub par bang, thanks to the BBC talking it down and not allowing Hammond and May to do much with their presenting. However, the pre-recorded footage made sure viewers could have one last laugh. The episode featured the three doing what they do best, challenging each other and almost getting killed in the process.
With social media kicking up a right fuss about Jeremy’s absence and the impending arrival of Chris Evans, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Jeremy Clarkson’s new car show on ITV will be aired on Top Gear’s traditional 8pm timeslot on Sundayt nights, going up against the new Top Gear with Chris Evans, for viewership. With the two shows seemingly being aired at the same time, who will be the winner of this challenge?
