Joanna Gruesome Win Welsh Music Prize For ‘Weird Sister’ EP | Music News

 

The fourth annual Welsh Music Prize was held recently, and the gong went to Joanna Gruesome for their debut EP Weird Sister. They were nominated along with the Manics for Futurology, Gruff Rhys’s American Interior, Cate Le Bon’s Mug Museum, Future Of The Left’s How To Stop Your Brain In An Accident, and Samoans’ Rescue. The event is designed to celebrate Welsh musicians, with the likes of Gruff Rhys and Future Of The Left as previous winners. BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens founded the event in 2011.
