Drake has recently released his collaboration with French Montana, called “No Shopping”, where he seems to have a pop at Joe Budden, calling him a one hit wonder, probably a reference to the now quite old “Pump It Up”. Budden has responded rapidly, knocking out song, “Afraid”.
The track has a subdued and moody backdrop, at first. Then it becomes grander, the drums hitting with industrial force. It is a lengthy offer, almost clocking up six minutes. At heart it is a diatribe, spat with sizeable venom. There is some let up, though, as he lets the beat absorb into the ears of the listener, respite from those hard hitting lyrics before ringing out.
