It was announced last week that filming for Star Wars: Episode VIII has begun; leaving us all wondering what the cast members are up to now. However, Finn (or FN2187) himself John Boyega has shed a little light on the situation, confirming that he starts working on the eighth installment tomorrow (15 February).
Speaking to Daily Star after picking up the BAFTA for EE’s Rising Star Award, Boyega revealed “Guys I’m going to be honest with you, I’m running on fumes here” as he “starts work tomorrow” on Episode VIII. He continued, revealing he has a “6am pickup” and that tomorrow will be his first day on set: “I’m due to be in the car and go straight to do the whole Star Wars stuff again, so tomorrow is my first day”.
Under the direction of Rian Johnson, those set to return are: Daisy Ridely (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Carrie Fisher (General Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Sywalker) and Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma). We can assume that Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke) will also be returning. Stay tuned for further updates and catch Episode VIII in December 2017.
