John Elliott Unveils New Collaboration With Nike & CAT | Fashion News

During his Fall/Winter 2019 runway show at New York Fashion Week, John Elliott presented his new collection and his collaboration with Nike and CAT. Elliott and his team started working on it last May.

Born in San Francisco, he was inspired by California ranch homes that is why the fashion show took place at the Brooklyn Navy Yard where the brand put modular homes. This is very symbolic for Elliott because it represents his dream home.

In the collection, you will find bolo ties and jewelry produced in collaboration with the Japanese brand M.A.R.S but also polar fleece Suicoke sandals and various pieces such as a down-fill parka or bomber jackets with embroidery. These products are made with a washed nylon that took roughly a year to develop.

Having teased his latest Nike LeBron Icon colorway just few hours ago, John presented a selection of apparel designed in conjunction with construction-wear maker CAT.

In April, after six years of career, John Elliott will open his first store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.

We’re excited to be opening the store. (…) Now, it’s gonna exist in a real place. That was the motivation for telling this story about home, because we’re finally about to build our own”.

John Elliott is one of a few designers keeping New York Fashion Week: Men’s alive. Indeed, a lot of his peers have either moved to Paris or stopped showing altogether. But, as he says, he “loves” presenting here.
