The new music video for JoJo‘s “Save My Soul” illustrates the struggles of addition and helplessness according to a hand-written note on the singer’s Instagram account. The video, directed by Zelda Williams, features JoJo singing under an evening sky and a variation of people who all express raw emotions on a leather couch.
Both JoJo and Williams had fathers who struggled with their own addictions – Joel Levesque and Robin Williams who both died in 2015 and 2014 respectively. JoJo’s touching Instagram note, which reads like a tribute to Levesque in parts, can be found below, as can the music video itself.
