As Jorja Smith promised in her Twitter post last week, she and Stormzy weren’t going to let us down. 2017 was big for both of the artists and while they’re still on hype, this new collaboration song “Let Me Down” is a bomb.
It’s the first Jorja track this year and it’s deeply personal as she explains the song “is about meaning very little to someone but being okay with that even though it hurts“. The artist is only 20 years old, but her career has already been remarkable, including touring with Bruno Mars and winning BRITS Critics’ Choice Award.
UK’s Stormzy, who has a verse on the track, is one of the most popular Grime artists and his year also started productively with performances all over Australia and New Zealand. His album Gang Signs & Prayer has been recently announced as the number 10th most streamed albums of 2017.
