With its sincere lyrics and comforting melodies, “Mirrors” is a simple, yet profound reflection on personal fears and changes.

Growing up on a small Swedish island, Logan began singing in a local church choir. Later, she moved to Southern California, where her mother is from. There, she learned to play guitar from a local hippie and started writing her own songs.

Logan’s debut album, Everly Foreverly, was produced by Daniel Bengtson, known for his work with First Aid Kit. The album featured American drummer Kyle Crane, guitarist Peter Morén from Peter Bjorn and John, and Sofia Kristensen on piano and backup vocals. The album received positive reviews from Swedish and international magazines and was nominated for Singer-Songwriter of the Year at the 2023 Manifestgalan awards.

For her sophomore album, Logan teamed up again with producer and co-writer Daniel Bengtson. The new album, Faraway Nearby, explores themes of isolation, loss, getting older, and finding hope. It draws inspiration from Fleetwood Mac, Midlake, Bruce Springsteen, and Lucio Battisti.

“Mirrors” is a standout track from this new album. It features Logan’s comforting voice and acoustic guitar, creating a mood of yearning melancholy and hope. The song was written on both piano and guitar, emphasizing a simple yet emotive sound.

In “Mirrors,” Logan sings about facing personal fears and the changes that come with growing older. The lyrics are sincere and relatable, making the song easy to connect with. Logan explains, “I wanted to capture the feeling of looking at yourself and seeing both the good and the bad. It’s about accepting who you are.”

The collaboration with Daniel Bengtson brings a cohesive and polished sound to the track. Logan’s voice, both comforting and piercing, calls for simpler, slower, and more forgiving times. “Working with Daniel again has been incredible. He understands my vision and helps bring it to life,” says Logan.

The new track “Mirrors” is a beautiful preview of what to expect from Faraway Nearby. With its heartfelt lyrics and soothing melodies, it promises to resonate with listeners. Logan’s music continues to find beauty in small moments and human connections.
