Incredible Stockholm trio Kate Boy (Kate Akhurst, Hampus Nordgren and Markus Dextegen) have seriously taken control all over the globe, with their effortlessly catchy electronic beats, layered with sultry vocal hooks and riffs from the stunning sounds of lead singer Kate. They have also established themselves extremely well on the internet over the last year with the drop of a few tracks including “Northern Lights”, “The Way We Are” and “In Your Eyes” which received critical acclaim from an array of taste makers including SPIN, V Magazine, Vogue and Pitchfork.
And now they are back with their brand new track “Self Control” which is a certain future festival favourite with its dance inspired tribal beat and flowing synths. The track really comes to life and is taken to new heights with the explosion of the chorus and sensational vocals from Kate. Kate Boy have recently signed to Fiction Records in the UK and will be announcing details of their debut album over the next few months.
