Kesha is set to make a cameo in the upcoming season of the TV show Nashville. The episode will air on March 16, once the ABC series returns. The musical drama revolves around the country music scene and Kesha will get to play herself, The Hollywood Reporter revealed.
The pop star will be joined by country singers Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett for the episode. However, this is not Kesha’s first role as she has also appeared on Jane the Virgin, as well as in the big-screen adaptation of Jem and the Holograms.
The part comes at a difficult time for Kesha, whose ongoing legal battle with Sony and Dr. Luke has prompted fans all over the world to start protests, as well as fellow musicians like Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato and Adele to stand by her and help ‘free’ her from her contract, under the hashtag #FreeKesha.
