British indie pop band Forgettable Faces make their debut on here with their new single titled “The Last Time“. It is the third official single from the 4-piece DIY band’s upcoming EP, which arrives later this year and draws influences from pop, rock, funk and blues, with a quirky twist.
The band was formed in 2020 when a band featuring three members of Forgettable Faces broke up. In making sure that fate doesn’t also befall them, this new 4-piece are being patience and inventive with the ways they are making music together, considering the global lockdown and members relocating to different countries.
The band have learnt to self-produced their own music, while also having to record their tracks separately before being able to work collectively. The outcome of this is a 6-track EP that arrives later on in the year, with the band already honing their live performance set in order to take the record on tour.
Citing the likes of Prince, Shocking Blue, Talking Heads and Rage Against the Machine as their main influences, Forgettable Faces describe their new song “The Last Time” as “created during the COVID-19 lockdown and recorded remotely. Although not written about the pandemic, ‘The Last Time’ does resonate with the current situation and the reoccurring regulations affecting our lives“.
