Lil Wayne + XXXTentacion – Don’t Cry | Music Video

American Rapper Lil Wayne has released the visual for the collaborative single with deceased artist XXXTentacion titled “Don’t Cry”.

The rap artists had joined forces and created this beautiful track for Wayne’s platinum-certified debut album Tha Carter V which released in September, 2018. The project features many talent artists including Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, and Travis Scott.

And today, Wayne has shared the visual for the song in honour of XXXTentacion’s 21st birthday.

The Jay & Georgio Rodriguez-directed music video takes place in a Moroccan desert covered in snow. Tunechi is surrounded by beautiful belly dancers and camels as he smokes a blunt and raps his verses. The artist is later seen on a king’s throne when a nun’s eyes begin to bleed black.

XXX vocals accompany the slow-paced rhythm in a heartfelt and sentimental manner. Wayne joins him with his iconic rap-style.

The visual ends with old footage of XXX during his performances. The clip cuts to a photo of the deceased artist with the words “R.I.P. XXXTentacion 01/23/98 – 06/18/18”.

XXX was shot in a robbery at a dealership on June 18, 2018 and died at the age of 20. EMPIRE celebrated the artist’s birthday by sharing the forth instalment of the compilation series Members Only. The hip hop collective includes Ski Mask the Slump God, Kid Trunks, Craig Xen, Coolie Cut, Killstation, Bass Santana, Flyboy Tarantino, Kin$oul, Robb Bank$, and XXX.

Today on his birthday, Wayne has posted on Instagram: “Happy Birthday @xxxtentacion The World misses u smile”.
